Golshifteh Farahani (b. 1983) is an Iranian actress, pianist, and model. She has appeared in numerous highly-acclaimed films, including Rasool Mollagholipoor’s M for Mother, which was Iran’s nominee for the 2008 Academy Awards for the Best Foreign Language Film category. In January 2012, she was banned from returning to Iran after visiting France to pose nude for Madame Le Figaro magazine.
